MyFreeCams Review: Is This the Best Free Cam Site?

Cam sites are an easy, safe, and exciting way to experience the thrill of a beautiful cam model online.

MyFreeCams is one of the most commonly used cam sites today, with a jaw-dropping selection of the most beautiful American webcam models.

It was the first live cam site to hit the web (and one of the first sites I used and continue to use), differentiating its services with smoking hot models, maintaining a steady quality and number of performers to date.

In this MyFreeCams review, I’m going to get stuck into the ins and outs of this adult cam site to help you decide if it’s worth the “buck flex”.

I believe they are leveraging this success and sticking to the formula despite the outdated look and feel and noticeable navigation issues.

The Good and the Bad

So, what are the good and bad points about MFC?

From my own experience of the site, I can point out a few commendable and disappointing issues.

Here’s my overall take on it, summarized below.

Pros

• I only paid for my premium membership once; this gave me a lifetime’s access to the site and all its features – a worthy investment for sure!
• I received refunds on unsatisfactory private shows
• I was allowed to sign up for free and enjoy some features on the site before upgrading my membership
• MFC has an excellent mobile-friendly site that more than makes up for its desktop site’s failings. But they don’t have a mobile app which sucks
• The site has a massive collection of top-notch female cam models to meet every fantasy out there
• The site offers live chat and responsive email customer support
• There are no annoying ads on both the free and paid platforms

But, from my extensive (and I do mean extensive) experience, not all’s good with the site. Some of the things I most dislike about MyFreeCams.com that made it into this review include:

• I found navigating the site complex and cumbersome; this was redeemed by the mobile-friendly site
• The desktop site is clunky, outdated, and generally unappealing to look at
• The video quality can at times be inconsistent
• There are no discernible benefits or a loyalty program to appreciate the patronage of veteran members, e.g., giving them perks not accessible to newer members
• There are no free sign up credits for new members
• They do not offer refunds on unsatisfactory voyeur or group shows

Although finding an HD cam is a problem as most do not stream in HD, the experience is still worth trying out as there are some 2,000 models on average streaming at any given time.

I accessed all the model profiles from the front page based on performance and changed the selections to suit my preferences on the “Settings” located at the top of the page or the Model Explorer pop-up.

Video Quality

One of the most disappointing features about MyFreeCams.com is the video resolution.

It isn’t that high because most hosts do not stream in clear and full HD. However, it’s not all bad. I’ve found some models who’ve taken the time and effort to stream in 4K clarity, but they are very much in the minority.

Mobile Site

One of the redeeming features of the MyFreeCams website, which I could not fail to mention, is the mobile version of the site. It is the complete opposite of the desktop site and is appealing and easy to use.

Much of the clutter is absent on the mobile site, and the streaming quality, user experience, and loading speed are, in my opinion, much improved.

Open Video Chat

MFC is a free adult chat site with active (and beautiful) models that get straight to the action. They will not wait for a customer to initiate a private session and will perform as soon as you link into the open video chat.

Private Chat

Private shows are just that, private. Some adult chat sites limit what models can do on camera, but not MFC. I have enjoyed excellent shows with models depending on what takes my fancy.

However, it is common courtesy to ask a model what she’s comfortable doing on cam before you begin a private show.

Besides, if she’s comfortable with the session, you’re both more likely to enjoy yourselves than if she isn’t.  Always read her model profile or briefly chat with her before you begin.

This feature costs 10 tokens, but you may use more to get the model to do exactly what you want or simply appreciate her prowess in extra tips.

Voyeur Show

Another feature worth checking out is the Voyeur or Spy Show. These shows cost members 20 tokens per minute (last time I checked).

If you’re a voyeur, this is the feature for you. Check out a model in action on a private show with another member. However, you won’t have access to private chat between the member and the cam model.

Free Membership

I registered free on MyFreeCams.com before even thinking of upgrading my membership.

All I needed was a working email address. After that, I verified my account via a link provided to my email address and started checking out the models right away.  

MFC has no free sign-up credits, so if the free site exhausts your interests, you have no option but to get onto the Premium membership right away.

Premium Membership

One of the best features of MyFreeCams.com, which I must mention in this is the Premium membership.

Once I paid up to become a premium member on the site, I got access to the site and all its features for life.

This membership allowed me to:

1. Record and archive any private webcam show to watch again later.
2. I received reward points (1 for every 10 tokens bought) to enable various chat options and features. Models can see these reward points to gauge how serious a member you are and determine access. Note: reward points never expire.
3. Chat in various webcam rooms and chat rooms.
4. Send models a private message.
5. Set up my own chat rooms just like the cam models.

Great, right? I certainly think so!

MFC doesn’t have as many payment methods as other free adult chat websites, but they still accept most payment methods available online.
